    Just to clarify, I meant the CO2 kind. I don't know if the powder kind would work. I'd prefer to give the intake a spray versus having my hands/face in the engine bay trying to choke out the intake.

    Another reason to keep a small fire extinguisher onboard your truck. Spray that into the intake and it will shut her right down.

    I just add some fuel additive to my tank, but I do start it about once a week and let it idle for an hour or so. I'm not sure if that helps or not but that's what I've always done. I do drive the truck a few times each winter though. Probably no more than 5.
