coolant loss
I plan on blocking the egr and bypassing the cooler this weekend just to rule that out. Also get a new cap just for the hell of it. It's been fine all week except the other day after it had been sitting for about 8 hours i opened the degas tank and it had pressure and kinda burped some coolant... -

So I'm confused now. I drove the truck for a couple hours today and didn't loose any coolant and I don't smell it anymore. -

new from vt
just picked up a 05 with 130,000. i actually went to the dealer to look at gas truck and saw this one. bone stock, never plowed just used to tow a camper i was told. I've never owned a duramax but always wanted one. It's not my first choice of color but the price was right.- Fubar008

New here and new to duramax's. I bought a 2005 bone stock with 130,000 miles on it yesterday for what i think was a really good deal or so i thought. It was a trade in so not much history on the truck but when they were cleaning it they noticed coolant coming out the overflow. i havent actually...
