I took a buddie for a high 12 pass in my Malibu a long time ago. Thats the most id allow and i prolly shouldnt have done that:eek: No cage at the time, just bench seat and factory belts, both of us had fire jackets and brain buckets too. (its now caged-5pt harness)

Our new Nova has a pass seat but no rides in that one, runs low 10's-high 9's

I do know of one fool racer and one fool track owner that sat on the sheetmetal floor of a 6 second promod and went down the 1/4, only hanging on to the roll gage. That was beyond F-in stupid:mad:

What ET is the cut off for passengers? I've always heard sub 14s...and that's what I tell all my buds that want a ride.:)

Thats what Ive always heard Brandon. 13.99 is the cutoff for "co-drivers".

ON EDIT: Found this in the NHRA rule book for ETSuperPro, ETPro, and Sportman categories, which is the class all of us race in: http://www.geocities.com/boosted_eine/nhrarulebook.html

10.9 OCCUPANTS

No more than one person is permitted in any car during any run, except one co-driver permitted in 14-second and slower ET cars; co-driver must be a minimum of 16 years of age. All occupants of push cars must be inside of car or pickup in a seated position while push car is in operation. Any time a car is started, whether in the pits, staging lanes, with self-starter, or anywhere else on the race facility, a competent driver must be in the driver's seat unless coupler or driveline is removed. Non-compliance is grounds for disqualification.

So break the beams, stop, sit there for a few sec and launch it. I tried that once with a pass and they didn't like it too much:rofl:
