I'm looking for a 3" Ybridge for my up and coming head gasket job.
Is any one any better than the other without breaking the bank? I've looked at alot if them.
I also want to replace the hot and cold side pipe with a mishimoto kit.
Thanks in advance!

Might as well upgrade to studs while you're there, if you hadn't considered it

Pretty much any aftermarket Y-bridge is gonna be better than stock...

Pretty much every vendor that sells a y-bridge sells accompanying parts for the charge air system, all the vendors here make excellent products, that's why there here, the choice is yours and they're all good, the choices from the vendors here that is...:woott:

The mishimoto stuff look pretty sweet, and from what I've heard are top notch, let us know what you think if you wind up getting it, and don't forget to take some pic's, just remember, anything mishimoto sells can be found on the forums vendors sites and you're supporting the d-max community if you purchase from them..:) except that mishimoto radiator, no one sells anything like that that I know of, and it has my name all over it...;)

What gains did you see when only upgrading the bridge?

I upgraded my factory Y-bridge to the All Seasons Y-bridge practically as the last upgrade in the charge air plumbing, I just finished the charge air plumbing out by ordering an HSP hot side pipe to work with the vgt72 and until I get an engine build goin, or a set of twins, everything will stay like it is

I already had done a full egr delete with 3" cold side pipe, intercooler and manifolds, uppipes, turbo charger upgraded to a vvt4094 with 3" downpipe and built trans efi-live tuning

That being said, it made a very significant difference in a couple ways
1) I saw less soot in the exhaust stream
2) I noticed better throttle response in any scenario
3) after the install I saw a few more lbs of max boost, I'd be lucky to see 38-40psi before, after I've seen a consistent 40-42...???
5) placebo probably, but the exhaust sounds crisper to me now:rolleyes:
6) I actually had a 1.2 avg mpg increase after this mod, srsly...but I'm pretty sure the stock y-bridge had been leaking, and it was popping apart under boost, which is why I replaced it

I didn't see any significant difference with my egt's, not that I was looking for it but my egt's seem more stable and the spike is less dramatic
I typically only pay attention when they're hot anyways...

This mod really seemed to tie the others I'd made in the system together, I'm not sure how it would perform on a untuned truck, or as a stand alone mod...

Yeah I've been collecting my parts:
Head studs
New all season water pump
New low temp thermostats
All the gaskets
Pro fab manifolds and up pipes
Csp5 with some moonshine tunes
That's it so far? But still gathering, lol
And hopefully build the trans also

After doing my y bridge And egr delete I saw a couple psi more boost and quicker throttle response. That was with the stock turbo. I would guess now that I have twins the y bridge is helping out alot more than the stocker would. If you an to stick with the stock turbo it probably isn't it worth it but it can't hurt either.

I have the HSP bridge. The welds are perfect and it fit absolutely flat on the manifolds.

If anything my boost went down 3-4psi when I upgraded to all 3" piping and the bridge. I was seeing a peak of 47-48psi, and now see 44-45psi max. Never had any smoke before and no smoke after.

OP, please let me know if you have any questions about our products!
