Has anyone wrapped their dash trim? I'm thinking about wrapping mine with a dark carbon fiber pattern. Anyone have any advice/tips or pics?

Have you removed the trim pieces before? Be careful! It's pretty easy to do just make sure you lay out all the pieces ahead of time so you get the carbon fiber lines all going in the same direction. Also I'd recommend getting the adhesion promoter it defiantly helps with some of the sharp edges.

I'm just wanting to do the main piece that goes around the cluster and the radio & AC controls, and I've had that off more times than I can count. Thanks for the tip.

Hydro-dip?

No, I think it's the 3M vinyl with a carbon fiber print but it's at a coworkers house and I haven't laid eyes on it yet.

Not sure how well self adhesive vinyl wraps are but hydo dipping wrap is pretty strong. Post up some pics when you get the chance bud :thumb:

3m vinyl works good I did both my 2004 and my 2011 with the stuff I didn't even remove it from the pickup to do, make sure you get the pieces really clean before laying it down I use rubbing alcohol on mine

this is in the 11, I don't have any pics from the 04 I did that one in carbon fiber. The carbon fiber was a bit more difficult to work with as it didn't conform to curves as well.

It wrapped up nice. Can't say I like the pattern though

Would be interested in seeing the 04 in CF. Just to feast eyes, not considering doing the same. The 11 looks good. Though the pattern does seem very repetitive, especially on the passenger side trim piece.

I can't find any pictures of the 04 the only reason I did the 04 was because the paint was peeling on the bezel so I did the bezel and around the window switches. I'm thinking about changing up the 11 though I'm getting sick of the pattern but the film has held up for over a year
