Well just to fill yall in on the progress of the 6.5 about to be 350. I pulled it under the carport today and went to down. The motor should be out tommorw and the other one in the whole. Saturday will be a all out wire up day because i am sure it will take me the biggest part of saturday to get the 350 wired up.

When i get time i will be tearing into the bottom end of the 6.5 to see what came loose in it. I think it was some stuff from the first grenaded turbo but i will see

Good luck, I hope you got everything you need for the swap,as said in a earlier post, get a edelbrock intake for the vortec heads and put a good 600 or 650 cfm carb on it. This will save alot of headaches with wiring it up.

Travis thats what i was going to do. But then got to thinking with the size of the motor and all i would have to take out my front grill. I didnt want to take my grill out of place so i just pulled motor seperate. After a couple busted nuckles it was worth it. I took the oil pan off today. I must say its nothing nice i have a few pics i will upload for yall to see the carnage.

That grill will come off in like 6 bolts Kurt. Makes it alot easier to get the engine out.

Good job on getting that engine out though. Hope the 350 goes in without any hiccups

You did the right thing by unbolting the converter Kurt. You can very easily ruin the front pump bushing and the converter if you pull it attatched to the motor. I have seen this too many times. Be sure and put a new front pump seal in the tranny while the motor is out, they're cheap and you ain't gonna be any closer than you are right now.
