If i was self employed it would be a catch up day.. Thank god I'm not self employed anymore!

I won't work holidays for any company except my own, I'm not a whore. No disrespect intended to those who would choose to work.

After awhile (25 working years for me) it's not about the money, it's about quality of life.

Well... that's a decent chunk $2200? Second charger... custom driveshaft... no-no... ahhh... 3 stage N2O... naw... Tough one!:) No.

If i was self employed and it's my client? yes.

I respect any man who does work the holiday. I did my share of holidays and agreed, a Man gets ahead.

Second thought... I'd whore myself for $2200 atleast I'd be a high priced ho! :)

Seriously, what rig have you ever been on that worked New Years Day? Other than standby/rig watch, not many are actually working. Aren't you supposed to be sick on the 31st anyhow??!!

It depends on what you consider "work". When we raised horses/cattle, there was no choice, but I enjoyed everyday...never thought of it as work. Being self-employed has it's ups and downs...chances are I won't do much over the Xmas holidays. I do work every holiday...infact everyday between mid-March and November. No complaints, it's what we choose to do, and I can stop anytime I wish.

No, he's not, you spelled it wrong, but I fixed it for ya ;)

No! He is not. You spelled " it " / or " "jinxed" wrong. I have fixed the spelling error for you.

Larry, how do you know "jinxed" is the word I intended to use in that statement? I could have been making a new word just for that post! But oh well, your right, not in this case. Thanks again. You caught me. Let us go back and edit one another's posts. Na, too much work.
