Hey guys- We just wanted to let the word out that Wide Open Performance and Fleece Performance Engineering are joining forces to create a new Duramax Diesel powered dragster for competition in the upcoming season. Thanks to the help from some very prominent aftermarket companies we hope to build a very competitive entry for the Top Diesel Dragster class to compete across the country and help spread the word of Diesel Motorsports place in racing.

With Fleeces strong knowledge of the Duramax power plant and our previous experiences with our 8-second Power Stroke powered dragster we hope to make for a deadly combination that can help continuing to grow our sport and industry.

Stay tuned for complete updates of the build as we move forward...

Sound like things could get interesting in the next year or so with more dragsters being built.

We made pretty good progress with the dragster last season, made multiple mid 8-second passes with it. Best being a 8.51@166mph, which isn't bad for an old dinosaur motor and a 4R100 truck transmission. We were very happy with it, wanted 7's bad! But at last years Edge Event we went for broke, it was either run a 7 in front of the crowd or break it trying. Well, it broke, after 3 seasons of pure torture, the motor finally let loose. Decided over the winter it was time to move on, Duramax here we come!
