After a loooooong 14 (yes fourteen) months, my truck is finally running and moving under its own power. It was so nice to finally be able to hear it idle. I got it cranked at about 3 in the morning, but as is the case anytime you pull an engine, I had a few issues I had to resolve. After chasing a few leaks and transmission gremlins, I finally got everything resolved. It is running great. I have a stock fueling tune in it right now, and it feels like probably high 400s/low 500s. Definitely lots of room for more. The turbos sound pretty wicked. Ben would be jealous... :D

I just wanted to say thanks to a few people.

Guy at SoCal Diesel for the great parts and helping me out when I was in a bind with the machine shop. You're top notch in my book, and there is no other shop I would rather do business with for Duramax parts.

Nathan at MPI. If these turbos work even half as good as they look, I know I'll be extremely happy. Thanks for building me a kick ass set of twins. You are without a doubt the best in the business, bar none.

George "Big Dipper". Thanks for the transmission parts and technical support. This thing is shifting like a dream. You're one of a kind bud.

Finally, thanks to Jim (my boss) for letting me pull my truck in the shop on the lift today so I could get all the new engine issues worked out. It is a pleasure to work for you.

I've got to get all the greasy fingerprints off the pipes and everything so I can get some good pictures. I also have to wait for this damn snow to stop so I can get some pictures where you can really see the color of the turbos.

It's been an adventure, that's for sure. Aren't we just so lucky...

After all that's happened, it is nice to have it back on the road again.

You have my number. Just give me a call whenever you're in the area.

How are things coming with your truck?
