Help: wiring micro switch(vss)

i finally got around to trying to get my speedo working in my malibu.

the t-56 came with a electric speed pick-up. so i got a progamable autometer speed o.
here are the instruction i got from auto meter.

i have the speedo hooked up correctly. on the guage side. but cant figure out the microw swith.. can i run two wires or do i need a 12v power source. which would be 3 wires 12v, signal ground.. question is which is which:confused:

i have a 3 wire micro switch for the VSS two black wires and a black/white wire.
and the said pick-up.

found out that its a viper speedo adn there were two version of them.. auto meter has a wireing diaghram for one of them

so off the the dodge dealer.. to see whats up....

well got the wire diaghram from the dodge dealer..
5v supply
sensor ground 1
VSSS wire.
not avalible any more. i also think i nuked this one with 12v supply :rofl:

so i called D&D performance and talked to Don Walsh. told him whats going on. he said they swapped to a ford VSS sensor a few years ago. 2 wire hook-up. said he would ship the sensor to me on company dime or i could ship the tailshaft to D&D they do the machining and install the sensoor and ship it back on companies dime. :D i asked him to ship me all related parts that i needed since i cant have my wagon down.

sense it is the same length all i got do is make the hole bigger. all i need is 12v supply and wire to the sig in the gauage
