ill start with the radio and backup cam.

the radio is a kenwood DDX392

i currently have an aftermarket back up cam, tapped into the reverse light circuit at the tail lights, with the video out in an edge cts, back up cam works fine.

i want to change the back up cam from the edge to the new stereo, the new stereo has a specific reverse input wire, where and what color wire am i looking for? id imagine theres a closer one than the ones i have the camera power tapped off at the back of the truck.

the 2nd thing i am installing a 3 gauge pillar mount with some auto meter gauges, i was gooing to tap into the dash lights from behind the headlight switch, again, which wire should i be using?

thanks for any help, this is my first time wiring in stuff liek this on a newer truck

Did you use the stock wiring? Static can be a ground issue.

what do you mean when you say stock wiring? the module plugs into the 2 factory harness plugs, then its all new from there, 1 black ground wire, the only other ground i did was for the mint green wire, which is supposed to be for the parking brake to allow the dvd player to work when the parking brake is set, but can be grounded to allow it to work when moving....thats what i did(kids)

those are the only 2 grounds i did

Figured it out, one of the connectors on the module got pulled, took the dash top off so i could guide and organize the wires better, everything seems to be good now
