This is the main harness for the transmission. Well this is actually a piggyback but plugs into it. Have any of you fixed this kind of connecter? How did you get it apart?

Im not sure if the white part pops out of the grey part or not? I really don't want to break this, so I figured I'd ask first

we just did one at the shop, the main thing that I know is everything is serviced seperatly from Allison Dealer only, I beleive when I was looking at the exploded view of that connector, everything did snap together, but im not a 100% sure I will ask the tech If I see him in the next 5 minutes or so.

I just talked to the tech, he said that the white piece doesn "snap" out and that is what holds the locks for the terminals. He said then the terminals actually push out through the front of the connector. You might need a small pick to help the terminals to get past the locks even after the white retainer is removed they can still be a pita. hope this helps...

So basically I need to take that white peice off, then pull the broken pin through non wire side of it? I figured out how the white piece comes off, but its a pain

yea thats how he explained it to me.. he said it was a pain in the a$$, and yes he said the terminals come out the front of the connector, not the wire end.

Welp that wasn't so bad lol got it done. Would you happen to know a part number for one of those pins? I'd rather crimp it with a new pin verus soldiering

Thanks for the help btw

if you ever get a chance to grab one, a "douitch connector " (sp) tool works great for that, i have one from a seminar from a factory tour, but i am sure you can get one via internet?

i know i prob spelled that really wrong:D

I'd take one for free, thanks for the suggestion.. I pray that I don't have to rewire it again. This is the 3rd time its been off the truck, and I lose wire length everytime
