Wind caught the door...

Gust of wind snatched the door out of my hand and opened it to 90°. Looks like the top hinge got bent a touch. The opposite side appears to be too high for the catch.

Here is a picture of the body side of the upper hinge. It looks like it came away from the body about a 16th of an inch. The lower hinge looks fine.

Any ideas how to fix? Take off door and 2x4 and BFH? or do I need to send to body shop?

I've taken a tire iron and slid it in between the hinge from the inside and gently applied pressure to the door like you are closing it. This was on a 88-98 truck but should work the same.

I've done the same with my LB7. Took it to a body shop. They wedge a hammer in there and close the door to bend it back lol. Just leverage.

I see this happen on the express vans I have about 40 of them i deal with every single one has bent the hinge and cracked the a puller and busted the spot welds might want to check that as well.

So I did the wood wedged in the hinge trick. Now the door closes fine but there is still an awful wind noise at speed. Any tricks to fix that? Eventually I'll have a body shop put on a new hinge, when i get the whole truck re painted. But that's not for a while.
