OK if i tune out first gear and turn off the torque management. with the hopes of getting better times at the track. do you think that I'm looking for disaster with this, or will my SCIV be able to hold without any major damage?

We are going to be testing those very things soon.

the tcm tune is what holds the power of the defuel. once it commands none that there is none. i am running this in mine now and have been for a few months now. it is real nice, but i really want it to come out of beta to find a happy medium. like for towing and such. but it really doesn't defuel. at all. shifts real nice though

thats what i ran with my stock trans last time at the track and it killed my TC.

I loaded my no 1st in my buddies LLY and it did not like it at all!!!!! Never felt like it was launching, just alot of rpm's with not much movement at first. Felt like it would cook the stock t/c in time.

lly/ally. the tcm commands the torque management. the ecm implements it.

I was pretty sure that's how that worked;)

The LLY TCM torque limiting tables were released after I sold my LLY, so I haven't tweaked those on one of my trucks...IIRC, a member or 2 have had trouble completely removing LLY TCM torque limiting, so do so at your own risk...

Removing it completely in my 6 speed seems to be working fine although I still have de-fueling in my ECM tune...

Question Is if it does damage are you in a financial situation to replace it?
Pay to Play

I dont see the 2nd gear launch being as bad as removing all defuel.....Your decision

none here, it shifts like normal and you really cant tell. until you are in it hard.

i haven't seen any issues yet, but i don't drive it that hard especially during shifts. but even under moderate acceleration it shifts quick and firm but never makes you feel as if it will be damaging. i can't wait for the public release of the tables so i can make some changes.
