i have an 2002 but want to put the newer tow mirriors will they fit and where can i find them for cheap??

the wiring is the biggest issue , they will bolt on but the newer trucks use a different electrical system . unless you can find a aftermarket set that look like the style you want but are compatible the 02 electrical stuff .

The wiring is not bad to figure out You need to run some wiring for the turn signals though

eletrical is not hard to do as long as i can get a skimatic on the wiring .... need to find some mirriors first

i put 05 tow mirrors on my 01 and it was totaly different because the new trucks reverse the polarity and use the same wires for multiple tasks . it would have taken like 8+ relays to make it work . so unless otheres years are easier i would not under estimate it . I did auto electrical for years and i could not figure out a easy way , at leats on my truck with the 05 mirrors .

Thats weird I put a set on our 01 Dually at work a couple of years ago

I cut the plugs off the original mirrors and just wired them into the harness on the 06 mirror

I don't remember it being too hard. The turn signals were the hard part

I used these write ups to help me put 05 tow mirrors on an 01 dually. Some of the wire colors didnt match the write ups for the glass functions, but after some time I got it to work. For the movement of the mirror in and out I used a double pole double throw switch (If I remember correctly, dont hold me to it).

I also helped a buddy put tow mirrors on his 02, and it followed the write ups. He got his tow mirrors from: gmpartsdirect.com
