Will our trucks age gracefully

This a weird question

I am wondering if our trucks will age gracefully like the 73-91's or ungracefully like the 88-00's

I am afraid of dumping a bunch more money in my truck and one day wake up and it be totally uncool

What do you guys think

I still love the way the GMT-400's look, but then again those where the it, trucks when I was a kid. But I know how you feel, kind of the reason, I got out from underneath my 05, I was already liking the LMM's better.

IMHO the GMC's(03-07) will always look good... the Chevy's and GMC 07.5+ look flawed maybe 2011 they will be refined to look better.

I think the 05-07 Silverados look just as good or better than any other truck on the road, but then again, I may be a little biased.

I think the 01-02 chevy HD's, the 05-07 chevy HD's, and the 03-07 classic GMC's will always look good, JMO.

as far as the GMT-400's Ive always thought they were good looking trucks. I think in 5 years when they are a lot 'older' we will look at them as more "classic", like we look at the pre-88 trucks now....

its all relative.

I agree, the 03-07 classic GMCs look good. I didn't like the 03-07 chevys at first, but they've grown on me. I did not like the late-80's GM trucks, but I like the early 80's style.

The 2011 GMCs look WAY better than the 07.5+ GMCs, IMHO (from the pre-release photos, at least).

exactly....the the late 80's early 90's trucks are in their "beater" stage...when they get older and more rare people will think/treat them differently

I agree.
I'm sure all the '01-'07 trucks will still look good. At least I hope so. I plan to keep mine for another 10 to 15 years hopefully. Not sure about the '07.5 and newer trucks........

Up to 87 I think they all looked good. The GMT-400 was a cheaply built and cheap looking truck IMO. Never was a fan.

Personally, the '67 - '72 GMC's were the sweetest looking trucks out there IMO!

X2, The 67-72 Chevy and GMC trucks were the best looking trucks ever to come out of detroit ever, hands down. I have owned several of them and wish i would have kept at least one of them.

Ill be keeping my '02 chevy around for a long time along with my '69 chevy. I Love how the hood on my '02 somewhat resembles the the classic style of the '67-'72's :D

01-02 chevys will age gracefully, the rest will be ungraceful lol :D. i think the 800 platform will age very well. it was the begining of the duramax and the motor and interior only got better with the new ones. Personally im thinkin the 01-02 chevys will be like the 69-72 chevys 35-40 years, very sought after for the rare body but still had the awesome powerplant. we shall see as i know ill be handing this truck down to kids when the time comes. She will be stayin with me and ill do anyting i can too keep her around. hmmm maybe i should use the last sentence with my GF of 3 years

thats why I put the 03-07 classic front end on mine... adds years to the styling...

besides...with the SC V and the 1st replacement motor and now doing a rebuild on the motor I lost, i have way too much money in mine...i will keep this one until the body and frame can't go anymore(literally)

I'm hoping that it will make it at least another 6 years where I will detune it (below stock)and give it to my son for high school.
