Will a front diff interchange from a gasser?

Wondering if an entire front diff and CV shafts from a 2001 2500hd gasser will work in my LMM? I don't need it, but I have a buddy parting one out that I could get cheap. Make for a nice spare

Watch the gear ratio, some have 4.10's. I broke one and pulled an all-nighter installing a junk yard unit before a race. I then found this out the hard way launching Max'd Out on an 1/8 mile track. Bouncing the front wheels off the ground at 80mph is a bit nerve raking.
