Good Afternoon, I had a tire let go on me last weekend and I'm purchasing a new set, I have wanted 285s anyway, but planned on replacing tie rods, UCAs and leveling at the same time so I only had to align it once.

Now, since I haven't done that and now have to spend the money on tires first, what is your guy's experience on fitting 285s on an unlevelled truck?

Thanks.

What are the specs on your wheels?
I'm running 285/55-20 on 20x9's with 0 offset on my stock height LBZ. I have minor rubbing, but I haven't trimmed much yet.

They are 17x8.5s with an 18mm offset.

I don't mind a little rubbing for now as long as it's drivable until I get the other parts finished up.

With the positive offset I'd definitely try it. It should still be driveable with the 285's.

At work our trucks are stock hight with 285's on stock rims. They do rub a little. If you turn up your T-bars just a little I think you'll be fine.
