I always wanted a Garrett turbo I just never thought it would come in my wife's car haha! We ordered our cruise almost 8 weeks ago and have now had it for almost 2. We freakin love this car!!!! Obviously really efficient at 38 MPG on the first tank (city/highway) and 43 on our first road trip over the weekend to Vegas doing 82MPH. The car is loaded with every single option availible from GM except blind spot alarms and a sunroof (we never even used the one on our 09 Tahoe). The MyLink setup is so awesome...coming from a dinosaur LB7 guy the touch screen, Bluetooth, Pandora, back up cam, seat heaters, Navigation are just some of the things I love. Apparently it has a six speed (auto) Aisin transmission with capability to manually shift as well. Remote start is awesome as well. It's a bit of a bummer the car does not come with a spare wheel and tire, just an inflator kit that won't do much good in the event of a blowout. I may look to buy a spare in the meantime. As you can guess the DEF tank sits where a would-be spare goes. My wife loves the car too and I'm happy she is happy kuz I definitely pushed her into the more expensive diesel option.

The turbo is quick to lite and boy is the car quick out of the hole! I'd love to do an AutoCal setup on this puppy but I just can't mess with the warranty. Glad the first two years of oil changes and tire rotations are covered by GM as well. The sticker price on the car is 27,000. After a bit of GM incentives, and TTL we were out the door at 25,500. For anyone who is considering this car..... Go drive one you will love it! Here's a few pics of the car and my wife with her car out in Vegas this past weekend.

This guy got really nervous I was putting the wrong fuel into the car at the pump. Funny I got his reaction (inadvertently) at the same time I was snapping a shot of the car.

Something in the water up in northern Minnesota what can I say? Not too many Norweigan girls here in New Mexico haha had to import mine lol. My wife is one of a kind ill tell you that. She is an awesome mom, loyal woman, and just happens to be easy on the eyes. I'd be screwed without her.

I know Fleece is good and prob has the most experience with this particular engine but if I was going to do it I would want Steve or Mike to tune it. Both my friends and both very smart.

I prob won't end up tuning it. I just have to believe keeping the warranty in tact is the smart play. It's the first year offering this engine so that makes me think some quirks might come up necessitating warranty repairs. LB7s were awesome and a game changer from GM back in the day, but look how that panned out. Me on my third set of sticks lol.

We have fleece tuning and love it! But you can't go wrong with anyone if the tuners
And my Lb7 had stock injectors for 208k. Finally upgrades them.

Fireball+Taco Johns, she looks good and has an iron stomach.

Hows the torque on those compared with the newer TDI's? I see its rated peak torque is at 2600RPM and the TDI is 1700. Now that I deleted everything and tuned my wifes it definatley is awake and going at 1700 but before I thought it was closer to 2k.

I couldn't give up the low torque, so nice walking away from stop n go lights. Wish they offered a manual in the Cruze too. I need to go drive one just because, I know I wont want one, but need to see what they are all about.

Iron stomach for sure man she loves spicy food! I've never driven a TDI so I'm not one to ask for comparison. We've had a few people even stop us to say they didnt think our engine "sounded right" lol. People in the states just aren't used to diesel cars! I'd love to delete this little car but "it wouldn't exactly be street legal" if you know what I mean lol. Wouldn't pass the emissions test our state requires every two years errrrr.

My wife still has plenty of people tell her she's putting the wrong fuel in and her car has a massive decal down the side that says "TDI Cup Edition". I understand people don't know what TDI means but they have been in the states long enough that you would think the majority would get it. Her reaction is usually "not again my husband's gonna be even more pissed this time". Lol.

Our emissions tests are by county and only 8 in our state test. They are the simple smoke at idle check for CEL tests too so easy to pass.

With everything deleted her little car still has a blue haze surprisingly. It's not the cleanest exhaust in the world but a Cat would probably get it to pass a lot of the tests.

Turn traction and stabilitrack off, manually shift into second gear, and try a boosted launch from a dead stop... 2nd gear is the tire smoker :D

Looks good :thumb:, wife and I kicked around the idea of trading her TDI for one but decided to just ride the TDI out since she racks up so many miles

A diesel car will be my next purchase as soon as the motor in the Pontiac falls out. Either a TDI or the Diesel Cruze. And yes the MN girls are the best choice! :thumb:
