Question: Wierd smell from A/C Vents suddenly???

Wasn't sure where to stick this gem...

Anyway, I got in the LBZ yesterday and cranked it up and suddenly I got the worst wif of a smell I have designated as "WET LEATHER"... It's horrible.

I haven't driven the truck since Wednesday night and its just been sitting in the driveway. It got better when I opened the windows and left it on Recirculate wide open for a bit but then on the next crank... POOOOOF, I smell like a high school gym in Louisiana all over again..

Ideas???

the drain may have clogged and you have a mold issue. are you the original owner? this isnt a flood vehicle by chance.

Original owner... It was fine Wednesday and has been parked now on Friday night it stinks???

Probably from moisture that was sitting in the AC when you park it. For now on turn off your AC and the fan on full blast a min before you park it to get rid of the moisture. To get rid of the smell put a mix of light mix of bleach and water in a spray bottle. Put the fan on full blast and not recirculate and spray it into the ducts at the base of the windshield (Exterior).

Yes it is just because you didn't smell before doesn't mean it wasn't growing
