why does efilive hate me

I cant download the newest version of efilive on to my old desktop with windows xp. I have it on my laptop but figured id upgrade the desktop so I uninstalled the other version. Everytime i click run after setup is initiated nothing happens. It all just goes bye bye to some unknown location. Anyone know anything? Im PC handicapped too Im a mac user.

Auh, come on Reno! EFI doesn't hate you...its just opperator error! LOL!

On a serious note, try completely shutting down the PC let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes while you grab a beverae of choice, then power up and see if that helps.

I did some updates ran some errands and let that archaic pos chill out. Well see. Every problem I have is induced by my own ignorance haha

Well still didnt work. I can literally sit there and watch after I double click the setup file nothing happens and in about 10 seconds the setup.exe just disappears.

It even takes it off the flash drive. What in the hell is going on with my posessed computer. I can download the drivers just fine however?

Did you download the file from EFI Live and extract it, or did you click it and hit run?

clicked it and hit run like ive always done. ive never had to extract a new version to make it run

Alright it finally said extracting files after I clicked "Run". I have no idea why my computer was doing that. Thanks for your help everyone :thumb:

My old cp desktop was just wigging out for some reason. It mustve been one of the spyware things it came with or something because I turned all of that crap off and restarted it and it downloaded fine. Strange business
