Just be happy you are not getting it shipped to Canada. I have had things from FL take over 3 weeks and went from Detroit to Toronto then back to Windsor it would have to drive passed my house to get there.

That sucks, but I know what your talking about. The rig had to pass by my shop within 6mi. As it drove by lol.

Chris, I've gotta get three LB7's to Guy, and pick up the rest of my Drag Truck stuff. Then need to pick up an LLY on the way back, but thanks for the offer.

The real reason is the location of main shipping hubs. It is about volume and moving things in bulk. In your case it made more sense mathematically to throw your package in with a bulk shipment that might have gone past your location but was probably meant to catch another bulk shipment going from there to your location. I work for UPS and it really is all about logistics...it makes sense mathematically I promise. Its about fuel consumption/driver time levied etc. Overall it must have been more efficient and profitable for the shipper to bypass your place the first time.

That pallet that went right past your place most likely went by in the middle of the night on it's way to a terminal to be loaded on the truck for delivery in the morning.
Just like he said, there's way more to it than most people see.
I'm one of those a-holes that drive right by peoples shops all day long for no reason at all in a freight truck. I swear to you though, at least 6 or 7 times out of 10 there IS a good reason for it if you get passed up. :D :thumb:
