Good friend of mine's 08 mustang GT, it has-- underdrive pully set, Intake, Exhaust(xpipe) to duals. Some kind of MAF mod....and a 5 spd manual. He's not the best at slamin gears either, What do you guys think?

X2 - Also, most people can't launch a manual tranny right either... 4x4 boosted launch will put you well ahead as he feathers his clutch out (or feathers his rear tires off) and hold it to the floor.
You have some big tires on there, that'll hurt you, but, I don't know by how much honestly.
Just keep talking your truck up right before, get him good and twitchy, by the time you line up there'll be so much adrenaline he won't be able to hold his foot steady and stall it at the line :rofl:

truthfully i'd have to bet on the mustang... unless he misses a gear then hell i'd bet a stock Duramax could win...

If you had a lift pump or smaller tires i would say maybe , but like paint said driver error can give you alot of advaqntage , best of luck and get some video :driving:

i dont think he would be faster then a 13flat at the track hooking up and most just give up if you take them outa the hole by to much

i beat up on a 08gt mustang that had a cam,cai,headers,3"Exhaust and underdrive pullys and i was using an edge programer on 4/5 and left the line at 15lbs and and took 6 lenths on him and won by 4

so i really think you'll take him even with the big tires you have a built trans and efi toss in a nice sized tune and just leave the line on with 10lbs of boost you got it:coolspot:

I just watched a 09 Rousch Mustang stage 3 supercharged run 12.84's with MT drag radials on Pass Time. If your truck runs very good you've got a chance.

well, ive killed an 05 dmax on stock tires with the edge on 5, and a chiped 09 dodge.........not sure how those stack up to this stang, but im confident

ok, ill say this, we did kinda of a half ass rolling race just messing around one day, he dumped a gear and slowely walked away, BUT i was also in 3rd going 30 mph. That is what got me wanting a race. Had i been in 2nd i think i would have pulled him. But.......... i dont know. I will def find out what that clunker has tomorrow tho!
