Whining sound

I recently got an 07 LBZ. I noticed when its idling that there's a slight whining sound (No, not my wife), like the turbo is starting to spool. That normal? My first VVT.

Stock they will hiss at idle.

I noticed that when mine was stock with and without the EGR hooked up the vanes would fluctuate randomly and it would make different noises, it would do it when just cruising down the road at 1200rpm too.

"Hissing" might be a good analogy, but I might check for exhaust leaks if it get louder with rpm

It's doing a range test, completely normal...
