I have been chasing a couple issues since buying this built truck, haven't really solved much yet. This is one of them.
The truck has a whine at idle when cold. You can clearly hear it in this video. When the truck warms up it goes away mostly. It doesn't seem to be the power steering since turning the wheel doesn't make the noise increase. I thought it was the 475, but I just swapped in a new 472 and it sounds exactly the same. I don't know if it is related to the rubbing sounds I am getting under high load, but that isn't getting any better either.
Water pump? Alternator? Ac pump?
