CHILE
Hey guys let me explain a bit my situation. I live in chile south america. I bought a 3500 with a bunch of issues one of them being that the rear end got swapped at some point what seems to be an older ford rear end with drums. I want to convert it to singles but the only rear ends available in the local market are ford f250-f350 or rams 2500-3500.

Which rear end do you recomend using?
Do any of you for any chance have any idea if mounting points(leaf base, shock base and e-brake cables) need to be relocated, swapped or made?

The newer dodge, 2003 to atleast 2006 and probably newer is very similar to the AAM 11.5 Axle that comes in our trucks from the factory. It would be where I would start.

As far as I know a 2006 Dodge 2500 Cummins rear axle is identical to ours, except Dodge cheaped out and it doesn't have a drain plug. But to make up for it, they put in a better locker, so it evens out I guess.

As for spring and shock mounts, I am not sure how different they are. Probably nothing too hard for a good shop to sort out.

I thought I read where dodge axles had larger OD axle tubes and the brakes are different?

Far as I know the dodge is the same aam 11.5 but better tubes and stronger brakes. And a locker usually. The rest should be easy to change if needed.

Anything will be an upgrade from what you’ve got now.

We've been over this "locker" thing before guys....

Be careful to not get a 10.5 out of the early dodge trucks, but I suppose that would still work depending on the HP goal.

Axle tube diameter for a dodge is different. Also uses 2 center pins to locate the spring on the axle perch, brakes are different, diff will have an open or a Torsen limited slip, NOT A LOCKER unless it is from a power wagon. Iirc spring mounting width is different as well.

It’s by no means a simple swap in
