They have certain wines for drinking with red meat, and other wines for drinking with pasta, and with chicken, and with fish, and with desert, and so on.

So, which types of beers (not necessarily brands but feel free to include them as you see fit) are for each of those types of eating...

Lets so burgers and dogs... domestic brew like BL seems fitting. What kind of beer is that? Is it a pale ale o what?

How about with steak? Maybe a heavier beer, like...

Or with a nice pasta dish one could try a...

And with seafood maybe a....

You get the point. Help me pick different types of beer for different foods and I'll start trying different ones that compliment the type of food I'm eating at the moment.

We cordinate the wine selection with certain dinners but with beer its whatever I happen to be drinking come dinner time. I do agree on lighter beers with heavy meals and saving the Sammy's for dessert:D

bud light with everything:D

That's pretty much how I roll too BUT, in light of all this talk about these other kinds of beer I thought maybe some would be better with certain kinds of food since I'm having trouble liking some of them that I've tried that are not domestic beers. So, to help me choke 'em down, I thought maybe having them with food might compliment their flavor more for my liking and I'd be able to broaden my beer drinking choices.

If not, oh well, there's always the trust BL. I know I like it pretty much any time. :yumyum:

Blue Moon or Guinness.... I could put either of those with about any food and be perfectly happy.

on second thought, a certain member of this diesel board actually got me hooked on mickey's. Funner than hell trying to figure out what the cap twister means. Starts out around 30 seconds to figure it out, but by round 10 or 12, I'm staring at the back of those damn things for 20 minutes, like WTF is this?!!..... :D

Off topic, but who here has made a Mickey's bomb? Once it is drank fill it half full with gas, poke an 1/8 inch hole in the lid, put the lid back on tight and set sitting up right on an camp fire. And sit back and wait for the flame thrower to begin, Very cool.

Any kind of beer with steamed crabs.

Prefer Corona and lime with MD Blue crab and Old Bay.
