01', 1000series allison, 280000miles
A month ago the speedo stated jittering, not big jumps, just annoying, vibrating from 2 or 3 mph where ever the needle pointed. Then tyranny downshifted out of the blue, no load, no hill, just around town. Did it 4 times the next day. Then the abs light comes on. Now the tyranny only makes it to 3rd and stays there. Sometimes reverse is gone. Just a flashing halo around the 'R' on the dash.

had tyranny flushed and new fluid and filters installed.
replaced the nsbu switch
I pulled the speed sensor on the rear of the transfer case and the tip of it was rubbing on the tone ring! The tone ring has a groove worn in it. With a finger in the hole it does not feel loose. When I lay under the drive line where it comes out of the TC and push up it moves 1/8 in the housing around the seal. Are those bearings shot? Is this where I start?
