where to pull motor from?

when pulling a lb7 where would one go about hooking the cherry picker to? i know its heavy and i dont want to screw up and hook the chain somewhere it shouldnt be hooked. thanks

you can bolt to any of the 15mm (head) bolts on the front/rear of the heads, front accessory brackets, etc...

Pretty much anywhere an M10 bolt is on the motor is suitable for lifting...

:yup: when we pulled the motor on johnboy's truck we used the bolt in the back of the head on the right side of the motor and a accessory bracket on the front of the left head.

When I pulled mine out with the tranny I used the bracket on the passenger side rear head, and then removed the compressor and used the top bolt hole where the second alternator would bolt up. Worked fine and was balanced very well with the trans off and wasn't horrible with the trans on.
