Where is the factory Sub/Amp?

I ASSume it is in the center console but I need confirmation.

Also, has anyone removed it? If so, how hard was it to get out?

I'm thinking about putting an electric cooler in the console so need to free up some room. Plus I get crazy static electricity on my console since the factory stereo/speakers were removed and I think that this may be the source of it.

the sub is up towards the front, if you reach you hand around in the front bottom portion of the console you can feel the speaker grille. the amp is in the bottom mounted to the bracket that holds the console down. you will have to unbolt the inner seat brackets to take the console out and take off the lower dash pieces as well. it's not hard just a little time consuming.

Is this a straight up lift or do you have to slide it back to get it out?

unbolt and slide IIRC, it will be a lot easier with the console out of the truck.
