When should you do a trans relearn

Gave up on the piece of shit super chips flash pack I was using. Was running on its performance tune but decide I am going to stop playing around till I get EFI and get some good tunes. Back to stock and it shifts really hard. Wondering if I should do a trans relearn and what is involved with that? Any suggestion welcome as I have very little experience in this.

Tech 2. It's easy and any competent tech can perform it.

If all you did was remove a higher hp tune back down to stock, then it's going to shift hard for a little bit. In that case I'd just wait it out. Disclaimer I'm not an Allison expert.

If you know someone with efi live or a tech 2, you can have them reset the fast adapts and it will help it learn quicker. As Awenta stated do not do a complete relearn until after a rebuild. Otherwise just keep driving it and it will relearn it's shifts for the stock tune again and start to smooth out.
