So when i was in the process of buying my wheel setup the shop i went to said they legally cannot mount the wheels to my truck because they are the wrong load range. I have 305/50/20 nitto 420s. Long story short its getting that time where ill need to make a trip to the scrap yard but im hesitant to take my truck now with the wheels. Whats the heaviest you fellas have loaded up/ towed anything with that same wheel

Look at the tire load ratings on the sidewall and it will tell you the maximum weight per tire. If you still want that tire/wheel setup and it is more for show then just have the tire shop mount the tires onto the wheels and throw them in the bed and go home and mount them yourself.

Commercial Shops out here won't even mount them on 8 lug wheels, even if there not on the truck.

1000lbs in the bed will be nothing to worry about.. you'll need ~2500lbs roughly to max those tires out

Make sure their inflated at max cold psi.. then drop back down to what ever you normally run

TX of course
On the farm we grossly overloaded trucks and tires never had one blowout. Just don't get stupid and think you're going to run 75 mph down the freeway to the scrap yard. With them overloaded.
