Thinking of selling/trading my truck. 2002 gmc crewcab shortbox. Won't get to the track much anymore. What do guys think it's worth. Built motor, trans, 2cp3s, Socal 100% over injectors, silver 66/gt 4718 twins Truck runs 10's every time out on fuel. Weighs 7250. I'm not giving it away as I don't have to sell it.

Not enough to justify the sale, IMO.. :( I would venture to guess it would have to be priced in the mid 20's to sell. My 05 is 3 years newer (But Slower) and I think I would be lucky to get 26k - 28k out of it even though I have about 70k into it (Including the truck price)...

I was gonna say 26-28k. Even then it'll have to be the right buyer IMO with plenty of cash because no one can get a conventional auto loan for much more than half that amount on an 02.

You could throw a stock motor in it to get rid of the truck and then sell everything else. Might come out a head that way but then take in a count for all the work. Thats the only issue I see with these things. Once you get past a certain amount of mods they are harder to get rid of unless you dump it. Takes a certain person to want these things when there is a lot of stuff done to them. You have any idea on price?

List it on ebay its free if it doesn't sell either list it high with a buy it now or set a high reserve if you do a auction you just never know. It always seems to be easier to sell something when your not desperate. My thoery is put it up high I say like 40k. Times are tough now I have seen a ton of built trucks being sold. Or maybe everyone is just upgrading lol. I would put it on cumminsforum those guys all want duramaxs I had mine up for sale and had a ton of intrest.

Start of the new season and the new diesel heads are looking for a head start truck to race still opposed to building one like yours. Might put it in Racingjunk.com since it covers all the racing venues of cars/trucks and parts too, point might be lookers cruise on that site looking for the sale items that pop out of the blue and fast Dmax trucks still are wanted. I know from just talking to like Ford and Dodge owners they are on the brink of buying a nice Dmax with most done that can go to the track. Just an observation but the market for it is around if we just look at the drags each yr. and how many show. Price is always touchy expect less but try high might just find a buyer who has to pay for the stuff if he does one and he sees one ready to go. That's a nice truck seems like it would generate buyer looks if put out there. The mark will see the truck does 10's standing as built and will know costs to get one like it so if say 30k is price it would still be a looker if the buyer knows prices for twins, tranny, built mill, and the rest. Racing money still comes out of the sky when guys want gear to make a rig. I can't believe all the built cars and trucks on the road with superchargers, turbos, and like GM Perf. 502 etc. in the wave of HP wars. It's alive around Colorado. Can't explain why or where the money is from but it's getting spent. One friend with shop has standing orders for 4 cars to be resto'd this winter major money projects and it's not doctor money doing the jobs. Just rodders who love the sport. Maybe it's a disease that isn't listed yet for Obama care.
