What would could a person get out fo a 03 ext cab long bed LB7 with ZF6 with 225K get by parting it out? might be buying one from a guy in tow weeks Has injectors smoking at idle but runs fine. dent in the bed and normal wear and tear. cloth seats, dual climate.

Just my thinking, if I got it cheap enough I'd pull the engine and trans, part out the truck. Build the engine, Find a single cab, do a transplant and go try my luck at the fastest zf truck title.

Thought about it with my 06 quite seriously, then I took another look at the ol heavy girl and figured I'd save my money.

My thought axactly I have an 86 K10 I did a LS swap and has 3/4 ton axels under it already and I have a built moter also lol.

OK so I got it home. washed it up some and its not all that bad. even the balance rates don't look that bad. I'm going to run some cleaner through it and see what that does. I'm not convinced that the injectors are that bad. it does have some smoke but I'm thinking it might just be some bad fuel. it runs and drives pretty good shift great not problems there has some cosmetic stuff that you would expect at 226K. so now what to do with it? what is all this worth parted out. good running engine with no blowby more then normal. ZF6 parts that are all in good working order. I could do the injectors if that's what it turns out to be and clean it up and sell it. or part it out. or sell it the way it sits.

If it's fine you'd be better off selling whole. Money and time/work wise.

Sold the whole truck after sitting on it for 7500. as it just the way I bought it.
