I have a 4" intake on my truck and it needs new boots and the tube is rusting. I'm thinking of getting a new 5" intake. Am I gonna need to get the truck retuned for the 5" intake? How will it run if I don't?

I youre running a stock turbo there really isnt any reason for a 5" intake IMO. I would build a new intake from aluminum in 4" and call it gravy if it were mine. Or, if you have the 5" built and dont care much about smoke just have the maf tables disabled, with stock turbo and injectors the smoke output will only be there for the short amount of time the turbo isnt boosting. After all, in an LB7 that is really the only function the MAF sensor has is to keep smoke production down.

I was only thinking about doing the 5" for looks And maybe a little more whistle. I doubt my truck moves enough air to need the 5"
