So I was loading my bike in the bed of the truck and I saw my Power Service cetane booster bottle was there as well. Then my eyes drifted over to the water/meth tank in the bed and I started wondering.

What would happen if I put some of that stuff into the tank? I'm guessing that since it is combustible, it would cause premature ignition when the cylinder is under pressure.

Not really wanting to do it, just got my mind thinking.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Might hydraulic a cylinder. meth should be a vapor when it enters, I doubt cetane would vaporize and would enter wet. I think.

Isnt that Power Service cetane booster almost like a very thin oil? i dont think it would vaporize too well.

Maybe if you could mix it in with water, but too bad the MSDS says it only partially soluble in water, maybe pure methanol?

It might turn into a mist if the nozzle was small enough or the pressure was high enough. All you would really need is a mist, no?
