I'm really really thinking about getting a 2011 2500 crew cab short bed 4wd silverado. I want a lt with leather. Lt so that I can have 6 seats. I've been reading and trying to figure out what all the options are. Some I don't understand. Like why can't I get a back up camera and camper mirrors. Also it showed an option for 10,000gvrw (iirc I'll have to look again) but what does this change. It didn't explain on the site. What options do you have and do you like them? Is the iPod connection and the blue tooth any good?

More questions to come ill start with these. When I bought my first silvy back in 04 I went in kinda blind. This time I wanna know what's what.

I have an LMM with bluetooth, backup camera, and leather. LT... Heated seats can be added for around $700 by dealer with factory style switch as well. Most all this can be configured for LML as well, just have to know the right boxes to click, dealer could probably help you out.

I love the bluetooth btw, works great IMO. Only downside on LMM which I think still applies to LML is you can only connect one phone. i have a personal and work phone, which I'd like both connected at the same time.

I thought all 2011+ were lml.

When you say one phone do you mean only one at a time or one period. I'd like to have mine connected for me when I'm driving and my wife's connected if she is driving. Like driver one and driver two.

from what i have seen most guys really like them besides the whole part about the throttle feeling different. its a little sodfter bottom end the first half of the pedal. i seen that there is a delete set up you can get IE: tuner and delete pipes.

im trying to decide if i want to wait it out till 2013 or get one at the end or 2012. budget depending, i need to get some stuff done to my tahoe first.

I just picked a lml and the blue tooth can have multiple phones. Mine and my wife's phones are both set to it.

I have noticed the difference in the pedal but I still love it. The 11s have great incentives to get rid of them which is why I got one. I have seen about the deletes and am curious to see if it's really worth it. Risking the warranty and all. Wonder how good it is. I do absolutely hate the tail pipe stock. Oh and I got the back up camera and had the dealer seal the deal by throwing in the tow mirrors.

Idk if you can get step bars from the factory or not, but if so you should if want bars on them. It may have been resolved, but last I heard they have a body nut that can come unwelded and spin when trying to remove the bolt for step bars. And you'll have to remove the carpet or vinyl to get to it for a fix. Someone correct if I'm wrong, but pretty sure it was the new 2011+ cabs. Could have been all the new cabs including lmms but I don't think that is the case.

I'm pretty sure the new trucks have bigger tanks, but I can't remember what size off the top of my head. I'll do some digging and see what I can find out.

Everything I'm finding says 36 gallons. It does not differentiate between long bed and short bed.
