LBZ: What to expect 45% nozzles w/stock turbo?

Anyone have any idea, or actually race there dmax with bigger nozzles on a stock turbo max effort tune? I'll be installing 45s on my truck soon as my injectors come back. Just curious what kind of hp and 1/4 times are achievable. Thanks

Bought a used set of injectors with 40k on them. Was going to buy a set of nozzles off a member here, but that fell through. So getting that set of injectors honed out, and flow tested. Pretty excited

What to expect? A whole hell of a lot of smoke and your rail pressure dropping way off.

Then why do I see alot of ppl doing this? My buddy has 45s and a stock cp3. Truck runs nasty(lb7dirtymax)

But, even by tuning down pw and timing. I'll still see gains over running 3200pw and alot of timing right?

Nooo, lol.. Asking if I will see gains say at 2400pw with nozzles opposed to say 3200pw with stock injectors. Sorry. Definatly draining the rails and blowing my truck up at that pw on nozzles!

devon, you will make more power than stock sticks. you can cannot match the timing you can run with 45% overs with the timing you can run with stock sticks. not possible without breaking stuff.

i just put 45 overs in my truck on the stock turbo. Id say to start somewhere around 2200 pulsewidth. I had a stock CP3 and 30 overs on my other truck and ran a 2500 pulsewidth.

No he meant will he see gains vs running stock.nozzles at a 3200pw. You can make the same power at much lower pw and timing id be ready to do a cp3 though mine drained even a modded pump twin cp3s and never dip below 26k :D

I run 30% inj, 2700us, 28* and rail is dropping into the 18xxx psi range, plus lots of smoke due to stock turbo. Have to redo some things in this tune, mainly pulse and timing. Fireman, Mafia and ZeroG know what they're doing...the third line in my sig is a very apt description for my knowledge on this subject.

2700 pulse is too much for a stock cp3.
My dads truck has 30 overs and 2400 pulse width and runs as clean as stock with 26000 rail.

I installed 30 overs and the using the stock turbo,egts are running crazy i hit 1700 before 85 mph in tunes 4 and 5.Im sure it needs fine tuning on the tune.

Thank you guys so much for input. Once there in, is it as easy as to just down the pulse width and timing? Or does boost,fuel pressure,ect have antything to do with dialing the bigger nozzles in via efilive? Thanks

The ''Race tune'' we ran the 12.01 with is only a 2100pw tune and the rail pressure is borderline with that. I'm sure your truck will hold better rail pressure than that I'm just letting you know what our situation is with the 45's and stock pump.
