What should I change at the trans tuning after loading a hotter tune into a stock trans truck? I didn't know if I should change taps, put it into fast learn, change shift points or leave it alone and let it learn? What is the proper procedure and how long does it take for the trans to relearn? The trans is acting funny and shifting inconsistently, especially in t/h were it is lagging between shifts. In regular mode it acts as in t/h when in 5th. Sorry for all the questions but I am new to tuning and did not want to hurt the trans. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I tried the other one with little results, maybe I didn't word it right. Thanks in advance for the help.

Try resetting your taps first and let it learn ( be easy on It ) for a half day of mixed driveing

it relearns the shift characteristics of the new found power. it isnt however a cure for the defuel(lag) between shifts you are experianceing. that is felt more now because of the added fuel. it was always there, but in stock form not felt.

Thanks stacks. I did reset the taps and it made a world of difference. I also backed down the tune, too much power for the stock trans and my right foot. New found power makes the magnet in my right foot act up.
