I'm going to get my precision converter re stalled. But I don't know how high I should take it? I sled pull in the summer in the 2.5 class, and I drive it during the week on the street, as well as put a 75/83 precision turbo on for the drag strip. What stall would be streetable but give me the most benefit? 2600, 2800, or 3000?

I'm having mine redone as well and I think im going with a 2600 rpm stall and billet stator. I currently run an s472/83/.90 with stock stall and it does ok. But going to an s480 single, I think 2600 rpm stall should be plenty.

I am running a 1058 with my billet 475/83/.90 and really like it. But I do not sled pull. I daily drive the truck and it is vary streetable. I did order trans tunes but hated them on the street so I am back to running stock trans tuning. They would be nice at the track tough to keep from loosing boost on the shifts

North of kc shouldn't be over 1500 feet I don't think.. Not much problems at elevation around here..

You guys need to think more on how the converter couples after it launches rather than stall speed.
Stall speed will launch the truck and allow the turbo to spool. That's when it is finished stalling. Coupling should take over right after launch and let the turbo and engine take over. High RPM's at low speeds let the power go out the tail pipe instead of to the rer wheels.

I Agree mike, I cut my best 60s ever with this high stall but who knows if I drop a few hundred RPM's it may do even better. I May not be a good example to go by, I also have a lockup box and I get lockup almost instantly when I go full throttle. Doesn't matter what stall you have, when it's locked it's locked.
