What should i get??

My Dad has an 03 Lb7 with a diablo programmer, ppe boost valve and stock tranny. I plan on buying it sometime soon and the first thing i want to do is rebuild the tranny. Wondered what to get?(I have been looking at ppe's kits) I have rebuilt the tranny in my 1995 1500 before so i am not afraid to do it myself. Just wondered what would be the best bang for my buck. Planning on new turbo and efi live so i want something that will handle some pulling abuse.

suncoast or ats.... they seem to be the big names in allison trans stuff.....

The fact that you're going with bigger turbo and EFi tuning; it's not what you are going to use that is all that important ( SC or ATS ). It's going to be how you set it up.

i would recomend ppe or suncoast. Go with some transynd or amsoil trans fluid.

If you listen to Mike L. he will tell you exactly what you need to make your transmission last. Casper(10 second truck) runs a Suncoast transmission. for 4500$ you can have a SC Stage IV with converter that will with stand 750+ rear wheel horsepower if properly built right.

how big of turbo? dual fuellers? 700+hp???

if you plan on staying in the 2.5/2.6" ~est 550-650rwhp) pulling classes sc4 or equivalant would be you target range. depending on what mike says you might be able to get away with a sc3

thanks for the input but im sorry to say the tranny will have to wait i just spent a bunch of money on my camaro, but when i do get one i will be sure to give Mike L. a call. As for my plans for the truck i was thinking gt40r turbo dual fuellers and efi but that isnt set in stone usually when i start a project it ends up being way bigger than planned

Just ask all the big transmission builders (Mike, Brayden, Mat from Champion) how many times they've replaced purple parts with orange ones before you buy ATS extreme full billet level 75 samurai trans or whatever they call it
