i was just wondering what lift pump i should go with?i thought about going with maybe the air dog150 or would i be better off to go with a ppe and save myself some money?

PPE outflows all other pumps except for the FASS 200/Air Dog 200. for the price a PPE pump is second to none.

many here talk about pressure.....what about volume? my super diesel high volume lift pump only flows 6 psi or so after my secondary filter but it doesn't drain down the gauge at WOT even when my rail pressure is dropping. hmmmmm.
MITUSA, I will be doing a full write up on the install when I am done, I am going slowly over the next couple of days, should be finished up by next weekend.
There is a longer story behind part of the reason we deal with AirDog over FASS but it mostly boils down to price. A FASS is the same design as the AirDog with one element missing that makes the AD seperate air better. I like the way the AD mounts and the kits they come with better. And to top it all off they are cheaper. Haven't had any problems out of the dozens we've installed or the ones we've sold.
I just went with a cheap Auto Zone E8012S for $32 9# pump on a box stock 02 CC/SB LB7 Auto. First time I put it in I stuck it on the fuel return line, took another trip to Home depot to get the hose barbs for the 7/16" fuel line. I used to loose prime after sitting level for more than 30minutes.
So I'd suggest you go with the PPE since it doesn't take that much pump to fix the problem.
So again the Fuel SUPPLY line is the BIG one, the smaller 5/16"ish line is the Fuel Return..

The Airdog is a very nice and well put together kit. I had the TTS pumps and they lasted about three years. They ran but wouldn't pump fuel. The AD 165II is what I use now and am happy with it as well as the noise. It is the quietest pumps next to the TTS and Kennedy pumps. It also has a Lifetime warranty.
I've sold and installed a bunch of both Fass and AirDog, and prefer AirDog personally. I find that the AirDog II is the best of all worlds, with the demand flow pump and adjustble fuel pressure regulator. And like Dustin said, the mounting setup on the AD is cleaner and easier than the Fass. Not knocking the Fass setup at all, as I run their HPFP currently on my Dmax (and have for the last 4 years w/o issue), but I will be installing the AirDog II 240 gph unit when my new motor goes in later this summer.
