Question: What kind of helmet to wear

Please dont say " one with a chin strap " LOL!! I got my membership to NHRDA and I'm going to race my truck June 26th in Douglas WY. I need to know what kind of helmet to get so I dont look like a dork or have the wrong kind ( safety wise ). I want to run a few " test and tune" runs before hand but I need a helmet. Thanks

IIRC it must meet the Snell 2000 rating, but im not 100% sure. Any current dirtbike helmet will pass.

Most places are 10 years or newer so now it must be Snell/SA2005. Most places will take M2005 as well (AKA motorcycle helmets)

Most motorcycle helmets will not work. They are only rated for one impact. IIRC it needs to be S.I rated. Which is for multiple impacts

Last I checked, they have to be Snell M2000 approved.
