I ran a lame 1.8-2.0 60' on 40 lbs of air, no traction bars, no lockers, Michelin tires, very little boost.

Anybody sub 1.5's?

Drag Racers what are you seeing in 60's and how does it impact your 1/4 mile?

Sub 1.5's do you mean low 1.5 or below 1.5's? Thats really hauling in just about anything. every .07 all other things being = should be -1..tenth in the quarter.

So... If a 1.9 60 nets a 13.4 roughly. A 1.8 60 should get you a 12.7, 1.7 60 gets a 12.0, a 1.6 gets you a 11.3, 1.5 60 gets a 10.6???

Thats Pats arena a 10-6, Pat can you come over hear and share please .

Anybody else have some input?? Very interesting how the 60 effects the 1/4 time...

What have you seen? Anybody? jump on in:D

How many we have under a 1.6 60' time????:D

I think he means more like a 1.9 = a 13.4 a 1.8 =13.3 and a 1.7 = 13.2
for me 1.9 60s got me into the 13.3 range and 1.7 got me 13.07

I'm not sure on the formula as a guide, but..I ran an 11.7 with a 1.68 60' on Nitrous, And ran a 12.7 1.72 60' on Fuel. My last time at the track i was consitently running 12.8's with 60' times anywhere from 1.75 to 1.9's:confused:....Track prep, and knowing how to set up your truck to adjust for track conditions to me is everything on your 60' times.. Our local track has been pretty slick lately and i've had to adjust tire pressures to try and make up for the lost traction..Guess that's why they call it Orlando Spin World;)

No ,no .07 reduction in your 60ft will net you .10 net reduction in the quarter (at the same MPH/HP
Pat's 1.6- or 1.5's are also along with 130MPH trap speed to go 10.60's if he stayed right at 130mph and goes .07 quicker in the 60ft he should be .10 faster in the quarter

Pat and Casper best is 1.56. But he doesn't launch it as hard as he could cause he doesn't want to break shit.

I SERIOUSLY need to work on my 60s......

By that calculation I could be 12.8 or less with a 1.8. Maybe having ambient temps down about 50* overall could help too!

Just a D.P guy. Said he had 1.4 60ft's with 12 second E.T's Im sure someone else will chime in on this one.

huh? I am not the sharpest guy in the shop, but i gots me a calcumalator...

That doesn't work right unless he broke at about 900 ft.

Used to be a number for 60' reduction and theoretical 1/4 mile savings, multiply savings by ? equals total savings over the 1/4, if all remains constant.

Who is or where is "onefst2003"? Is that a DP guy or a friend? Used to? What happened?:)

AKA Fast Frank, or Nitrous Hotdog.

His truck (05 RC/LB 4x4) was featured in Diesel Power Magazine by TTS as being the fastest diesel in the Western Hemisphere. It was claimed to cut 1.4's or better.

The TTS crew called me out to Fontana to race Frank. We did not line up against each other, so we had to go by best ET. I was in lanes waiting for him but he hung back.

Frank ran a supposed best of 12.0x with 3 stages of N20 at 5000lb, and I ran an 11.7 and 11.8 at 6420lb. That was a year ago, he has recently ran 11.7 on the bottle.

He was a friend until he started hanging with Cole, then he got weird and started bad mouthing everyone.
