It is shown in a lot of CP3 modification kits, but I have no idea what it is. I know what the other two parts are and what is done to them, but what is the thing with the arrow pointing to it?

I think I've seen that fitting included with one company's dual feed line kits.. I think they used it to "add" a second outlet, but I don't know for sure... Not really sure why it would be used in one of these kits though???

Hopefully someone can shed some light

That is the reason I was asking for a Dodge cp3 part number some time back, just to figure out the Bosch part number for that fitting.

Fitting?

Yup thats the fitting for a "dual feed line". I have one installed. That one appears to be a little differant to the D-max fitting, but can't remember for sure. I think its a good product and it helps feed the fire but i will say it was a PAIN IN THE @SS to install! I origanally wanted to see if i could make my own, but prolly not worth tryin cause all the stuff is special. The line is material is from Parker, some kind of super hard plastic/nylon stuff:eek: I don't know if it has steel braid in it or what but thats a pain to work with, its super stiff, like a sprung bull whip if you let go if it when its bent! The place where the fitting goes is all the way at the bottom of the CP3 (in the valley) and scared my takin orig. plug out, afraid of stripping the Torx head:mad:
If any of you guys want, ill try to take some pics of it!:D

you need more fuel
That is the high pressure fitting. It is very different in the Cummins application, for the Duramax, it is only the outlet fitting. Enlarging the hole in the Dmax, will do nothing for flow, as the passage in the CP3 is matched to its size. At least this holds true for all the Dmax Cp3's that I have worked on.

That's out of a Dodge CP3. There out put off the pump is in a different location, and that is the part they use.

So i can just get a Dodge cp3 and get that fitting?

Depends what year of duramax....dosn't it?
Passages on a lbz+ are bigger with the same size rail fittings
lb7 rail is bigger fittings but have restrictions in the rail
lly are just small all around

As far as a difference? still have small rails and small injectors inlets:baby:
