GMC SIERRA 3500 2001-2004 V8 6.6L

PowerAid Throttle Body what throttle body???Spacers Incorporate a patented helix bore which spins the incoming air charge we don't get enough from the turbo?, boosting velocity because it is a smaller I.D. than the rest of the tubing??for improved atomization atomization of what, with direct injection fuel doesn't atomize with the intake air. The end result is improved combustion efficiency ???which boosts low-end torque???, throttle response???, and fuel efficiency???.

Features:
Improved Fuel Efficiency???
Improves Low-End Torque and Throttle Response???
Anodized Aircraft Quality Billet Aluminum Oh, cause that makes it worth it's weight in....... aluminum
Easy Bolt-On Installation I don't see any bolt holes, where do the bolts go

GillettDiesel.com

So what is this, where does it bolt, or more likely clamp on since there is no throttle body for it to space; what is it actually supposed to do? Spin the air? Is this the same company that make the tornado for gas cars? Do you also offer throttle bodies for us to install with it?

While i agree that it is a bad choice for the home page, they are some knowledgeable folks at Gillett and have helped me a lot.

x2 i always thought it was funny of all the they high end products they carry none of them are on there website , MPI, Suncoast ,garrett, borg warner ,almost every major brand. in house turbo/injector shop , have supplied alot of folks on then west coast with turbo's even some on this site. but i'm with you dustin i dont think that product is worth its weight in aluminum .

$131 for that? :rofl::rofl:

The sadder issue is, "Has anyone bought one yet?"

That is just where I found it, I wasn't trying to knock their shop - I don't know them one way or another.

So Gillett if you are reading this, I didn't mean offense by it but from what Trentnell says you need to update your website, get your good stuff up there - and while you're at it delete this joke of a part.

Nice lookin paperweight.

The only motors that benefit from a Throttle body spacer are the old TBI 4.3's and V-8's.

Yeah, I still think it's funny when people buy throttle body spacers for vehicles with multi-port fuel injection - all you are doing is moving the throttle body, you still get the same amount of air and injection still happens downstream so you still have the same time for atomization between the injector and the intake valve. But hell, at least those vehicles have a throttle body to space.

On throttle body injected motors, just like on carbed motors, having a high-rise intake or throttle body or carb spacer will give you some more low end.

No offense taken as it was not made by Gillett Diesel or recomended by Gillett Diesel. I agree that there are MANY products on the market that you may or may not see gains with and have a very bad description or "NAME" for the product. Here is a link to Airaids description on this product http://www.airaid.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=200-557

Still "Swirl" :bs:

That swirl is going to go right back to turbulent flow when it hits the floor of the Y-bridge. Not like its gonna break off into 8 lil vorticies in the intake runners. Besides, radial flow would reduce air velocity, turbulent flow is what we want.

Think jet engines. They have stators to straighten the swirling gases into powerful thrust. No spiral flames outta the back of an F-16 is there? What a joke product.

I have thought of using one of those "tornado" deals i removed from a salvage BMW. I want to use it as a reverse stator to turn incoming air charge head on into the turbo compressor blades. Just a thought:D
