Question: What is the weight of a srw axle??

Anyone ever weighed a full axle with the rear end intact? Axle only, no brakes or wheels.

I weighed the 11.5 out of my 2005 donor truck, IIRC it was about 560 lbs.

Thanks, that gives me an idea. I'm looking to ship an axle from az to Texas. It would just be the housing, hubs, axles, ring/pinion/differential though.

4-man lift? Haha. 2 people can maneuver it just fine unless you look like the dudes from Fun...

Just the center section/carrier is a fckin heavy. You have to be a gosh damn strong man to lift one with two people and not need nut sack surgery afterwards!

definitely go business to business. We ship our transmissions by freight from the builder in FL to a friend's business here in Tx and it's not too bad, but it's only 1 pallet. No idea what a 2 pallet load would be.
