Question: What is the hp&tq rating of stock 4l85e

I've done some digging and the best I can find is the 4L85e is rated for a max of 460 tq. Isn't that what the dmax van has stock?

I'm having a hard time beliving its rated for a max of exactly what the engine puts out?

Anyone know?

Put a transgo in a 4l85e, what kind of hp/tq numbers will it handle?

Okay I am no Mike L. but I believe the last 2 numbers of a tranny name is the amount of TQ they are built to handle. I jut don't remeber what you multiply that number by to get the answer.
