i have a virus that has infected my computer. i am going to back up all my info for the tunes and such onto a zip drive, but what other info might i want to take like my efi license numbers and such so i can rload efi once i clean my hard drive? i have the 16 digit code and dates but that is all i remember.

also any pids or calcs that you might have made or modified along the way make sure you back them up as well!

What I usually do is copy ALL of the /mydocs/efilive folder to my backup area.
that should bring all your bins, logs, dashes, pids and so on...
You must have one hell of a virus! I used Panda's free virus thing on one i couldnt get rid of and it killed it for me!

ok. i am going to reinstall soon. the virus was not allowing me to use any ...ware soft ware and or anti virus stuff. it also would not allow me to system restore. i had to do an emergency recovery and so far it seems ok.
