what do you think of this intake?

Friend of mine just bought a used TDI with about 250k on it. Had a bad turbo and SMOKED bad. He sent me this pic of the intake.

This is why the EGR is off my TDI. Should tell your friend to put a VNT-17 on the car

He bought a turbo, but I think he went stock

And he didnt want to remove/block the egr even after seeing that

Unfortunately, that is pretty common on TDI's.

I guess running the piss out of them from time to time helps, but still the EGR is a huge liability.

I'm waiting til my '09 is out of warranty, then I'm going to get rid of the EGR and the CAT on it right quick.
